Administer Justice is unique among legal service providers: no other organization combines a knowledge of common sources of conflict – most notably, the law and finances – with a means to resolve these conflicts through mediation or arbitration.
The only other low income legal service provider in the collar counties is Prairie State Legal Services and its services are limited. Only Administer Justice combines legal services, educational services, conflict resolution services, and financial education services as part of a comprehensive community justice center. Moreover, most of our major programs – legal, financial, and conciliation – are free, except for very small and affordable administrative fees. This ensures that those who need our services can obtain them regardless of their ability to pay.
We need people, facilities, supplies, technology, and money for court-related fees in order to meet the needs of the low income clients who come to Administer Justice for help. Here's a brief list of our needs right now:
