Helping low income clients understand how to manage their personal tax issues is an important outreach to the community.
Our financial counselors help educate our clients on how to develop a financial plan, including getting out of debt and working with creditors.
Our conciliators and conflict coaches are trained in helping people understand conflict and reconcile relationships.
Our mediators are trained in resolving disputes out of court. The process is conciliatory rather than adversarial in nature; that is, it encourages honest communication and reasonable cooperation rather than unnecessary contention and advocacy.
We can use you. Answering phones, setting up appointments, following up on case paperwork, data entry tasks, and working on mailings to name just a few needs.
Also, we need help planning community events, helping someone establish a financial budget or work through conflict, assist with equipment maintenance, or participate in our public relations efforts.
These are just some of the ways you can help us help thousands of families in need.
We need volunteers for Spanish interpretation and translation. Having interpreters “on-call” during the week via conference call allows us to follow-up with Spanish speaking clients on a regular basis.
