Mediation and Reconciliation Services

The volunteer attorneys and other professionals of Administer Justice have a primary interest in the least disruptive and most conciliatory resolution of legal issues.  We believe, as Mr. Lincoln counseled a group of young men considering the law as a career, that "As a peacemaker, the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man."

The goal of our conflict resolution services is to administer justice and peace by promoting a program of educational outreach, counseling, and out of court resolution of disputes through mediation and arbitration, as a way of demonstrating Christ's mercy and compassion to those in need.

Administer Justice provides educational outreach through community seminars on how to manage conflict.  We all face conflict and most of us do not face it well.  There is a better way and Administer Justice's "Got Conflict?" seminars help demonstrate how.  Most of these seminars are conducted through local churches.

When it is impossible to get both sides to a conflict to sit down together there may still be a benefit to understanding how the one willing person can respond to the conflict.  This is called conflict coaching and is part of Administer Justice's conciliation services.

Administer Justice provides out of court resolution of disputes through mediation and arbitration.  Mediation involves both sides sitting down with trained mediators to help individuals come to an agreement.  Arbitration involves both sides sitting down and submitting their dispute to a neutral arbitrator who can render a binding decision.

Administer Justice's mediation services are available to anyone in need and individuals are charged a one-time administrative fee of $50.00.  The primary emphasis of all family mediations is the reconciliation of the family.  Church or business mediations are charged an hourly fee.  Arbitration services are charged by the hour.

All of our mediators undergo extensive training through a course taught by Administer Justice and materials from Peacemaker Ministries including a two day practicum.  All of our mediators are motivated to serve by their personal faith and want to assist you in resolving your conflict.  Give us a call - after all the only thing you have to lose is conflict!
