Administer Justice was incorporated on February 14, 2000; Gods valentine for those in need. We initially met in the classroom of a local church with eight volunteer attorneys who met with 23 individuals in need.
We began the dream serving people like Shelly, an abused single mom seeking financial help for her young daughter. After a victory, she was so grateful she brought cookies to court!

In 2003, founder and Executive Director, attorney Bruce D. Strom closed his private law practice and moved the organization to a single 8' x 10' office in East Dundee.

Since that time we have expanded to six spacious offices used six and sometimes seven days a week. We’ve grown from one staff person to two full-time and three part-time paid staff and at least 12 volunteer staff.
In 2007 nearly 2,700 people were helped by more than 100 attorneys and more than 150 other volunteers. Our revenue has grown from $20,000 in 2002 to over $280,000 in 2007.

Administer Justice receives the prestigious John Robb award for innovative leadership.
"Administer Justice is one of the most innovative programs in the country. Our thanks to Bruce Strom and the dedicated staff and volunteers who make that ministry possible." John Robb.

Our Executive Director has been nationally recognized with the John D. Robb Award and one of our regular volunteer attorneys received the Kane County Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award.
We have been featured on radio, in newspapers, and at numerous community events for the services we provide to the vulnerable in our community.
