Equal justice under the law can only mean something when low-income individuals have access to justice for secure housing, safety from abuse and fraud, security in child support payments, and education in how to avoid many of these problems’ causes. Founded in 2000 as a faith based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization by Executive Director Bruce Strom, Administer Justice is uniquely meeting the needs of our most vulnerable through a comprehensive program of educational outreach, legal assistance, financial counseling and conflict resolution services.
Attorney Bruce Strom was the senior partner of a very successful multi-office law practice. He had won several awards and been recognized for one of his cases that went before the U.S. Supreme Court. In 1998 he and his wife had just learned they were having twin sons after years of praying for children. Life was good.
In the shadow of this success he saw the needs of thousands of individuals who could not realize the American dream because of education, poverty, disability and other barriers. His wife made a Christmas present with verses of justice and one of those was from Zechariah 7:9-10: “This is what the Lord Almighty says, ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the alien or the poor. In your hearts do not think evil of each other.” This verse would serve as the founding verse for Administer Justice.

In 2002 Bruce closed his private law practice and joined the ranks of those Administer Justice serves as he and his family now qualify for services from Administer Justice. Why would he give up the American dream? “But I am living the American dream.” He replies. “The dream that others have fought and died for to provide justice for all. Hundreds of volunteers have joined us as we seek to change lives, restore hope, and provide meaningful access to our democratic system.
I hope you will consider joining us on this amazing justice journey.”
